Easter Day (The Sunday of the Resurrection)
Easter Day, also called the Sunday of the Resurrection, is the prototype for all Sundays of the Christian year. Indeed, every Sunday is a celebration of the resurrection, as it calls to remember that first Easter Morn, which changed the world forever. Come and join those in our parish who gather together on this morn in praise of the one who died and rose again that we may have life, and have it abundantly.
Collect: O God, who for our redemption didst give thine only-begotten Son to the death of the cross, and by his glorious resurrection hast delivered us from the power of our enemy: Grant us so to die daily to sin, that we may evermore live with him in the joy of his resurrection; through the same thy Son Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
