On Sunday 29 June, as part of the Summer Music Series, we welcome Noah Unser from Albany NY who is currently pursuing his masters in Opera Performance at Binghamton University. He received his BA in Music Education from SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music where he studied with Lorraine Sullivan and Katie Burnham. During his time in Potsdam, Noah performed frequently with the Crane Opera Ensemble, including the 2023 opera scenes program singing “Vesti la giubba” from Pagliacci and “O soave fanciulla” from La boheme, and performing roles such as The Moon/ King of the East in Jonathan Dove’s Enchanted Pig and Courtois in Leoncavallo’s ZaZà. Excelling in both concert and opera works his recent performances include the Tenor Soloist in Handel’s Messiah with Octavo Singers, the Tenor Soloist in Hiawatha’s Wedding Feast as a guest artist with the Crane School of Music, Alfred in Binghamton University’s production of Die Fledermaus and Pablo in How Nanita Learned to Make Flan with Binghamton University. He has placed as a semi-finalist in the Classical Singers competition in both the University Classical division and the Musical Theatre Pre-professional division in 2024 and first place in the NATS Eastern regional competition in 2023 and 2025 in both the Classical and Musical Theater categories. Besides opera Noah has performed in several leading roles in musicals, led SUNY Potsdam’s award winning all basso a cappella group and is a certified K-12 music teacher in NYS.
