Contributions to Bethesda’s Special Monthly Envelope in February will support the work of the Franklin Community Center. Located in downtown Saratoga Springs but serving all of Saratoga County, the Franklin Community Center has been providing necessities and essential support to local individuals and families since 1983. All programs and services provided through the Center focus on those in need, regardless of race, religion or color, to improve their quality of life: for example, operating Project Lift, a free after-school prevention program for qualifying children at local schools; or Franklin Community Manor which provides safe and affordable rental housing to low-income adults. From Monday to Thursday, the Community Center also runs a Food Pantry, and a Donation Center which offers clothing and household items.
