SUMMARY:Legs Miserables: Hudson Crossing
DESCRIPTION:The Bethesda hiking group (aka Legs Miserables) is open to anyone who enjoys exploring different state parks and trails around Saratoga Springs with parishioners\, friends and family.  It normally meets three weeks in the spring and then again in the autumn. \nToday’s walk\, which begins at 2pm\, is at Hudson Crossing; walkers will meet in the parking lot.  The walk will begin on the Eagle Trail (west of the parking lot)\, proceed along the canal side of the island to Eagle Point (where there is a view of the dam)\, then return to the parking lot via the Riverwalk Sensory Trail (on the other side of the island). The walk is about two miles in total.  Trail maps (including the parking lot) can be found here. Please bring a water bottle and wear comfortable walking shoes or tennis shoes. DESCRIPTION:The age-old stories in the opening chapters of Genesis have been used (and abused) by Christians for centuries to address such pressing questions as how the world began\, how humans originated\, how males and females relate\, whence comes evil\, how science and religion relate and why bad things happen. Come to explore these stories on Sunday mornings from 9:20-9:50 beginning March 6 in our Sanctuary. Dr. Blaine Edele (Ph.D. in Old Testament from Duke University) will explore these foundational stories from the early chapters of Genesis. No prior knowledge of Genesis is required\, only a curiosity to learn.

DESCRIPTION:The Bethesda hiking group (aka Legs Miserables) is open to anyone who enjoys exploring different state parks and trails around Saratoga Springs with parishioners\, friends and family.  It normally meets three weeks in the spring and then again in the autumn. \nToday’s walk\, which begins at 2pm\, is at Pitney Farm.  To meet the walking group: as you are driving south on West Avenue\, take the right turn just a few yards past the main entrance into the farm\, and park on the right where there is a grassy area for walkers’ cars. The trail is about one mile long and is paved. It is largely unshaded\, so wear a hat and bring a water bottle. Please wear comfortable walking shoes or tennis shoes.  If the weather is not suitable\, the walk will be rescheduled if possible. \nConsider also joining us on May 24 at 2pm at Hudson Crossing. \nContact us by email or phone to register. \n

Some of it is paved. Please bring a water bottle and wear comfortable walking shoes or tennis shoes.
