DESCRIPTION:Excelsior Vocal Ensemble presents Celestial England on Saturday 19 July at 3pm. Returning to Bethesda in July\, Excelsior travels the scope of English Choral Music from across the centuries. Herbert Howells stirring Requiem and William Byrd’s Mass for Five Voices are contrasted with the powerful Five Spirituals from A Child of Our Time and selections from Gustav Holst’s Choral Folk Songs. With guest organist\, Derek Stannard\, don’t miss this performance in a beautiful space. Tickets $25\, general seating at door.
