Recently, LifeWorks informed local church communities that the shelves at the Food Pantry have been severely depleted by the growing demand for assistance, and that the Regional Food Bank is currently unable to supply many of the essential items that are needed.
In response to this urgent request, we are appealing to our parishioners and friends to help replenish the pantry’s shelves. You can do this by donating food items from the list below or by making a financial contribution, which will be used to purchase the items that are most urgently needed.
LifeWorks has identified the following items as being in particularly short supply:
Canned fruit, Vegetables & Sauces
- pineapple, mixed fruit, Mandarin oranges, peaches, pears
- applesauce
- tomato paste, pasta sauce, diced tomatoes
- carrots, mixed vegetables, peas, green beans
Other food items
- cereal, oatmeal
- crackers, cookies, pancake mix
Hygiene products
- toothpaste, toothbrushes, bar soap, shampoo
Donations may be brought with you on Sunday morning or delivered directly to the LifeWorks Food Pantry, 39 Bath Street, Ballston Spa.
Every gift, however large or small, will make a real difference to local individuals and families who depend upon the Food Pantry’s support. Thank you for your generosity and for helping us care for our neighbours in need.
