Church Services at Bethesda

On Saturdays, there is a Eucharist (Communion or Mass) at 5pm. This is a said service in contemporary language (Rite II) and includes a brief sermon based on the appointed bible readings. This service is approximately 40 minutes in length.

Sundays begin with a said Eucharist and sermon at 8.00am. This service lasts approximately 40 minutes. At 10:00 a.m. there is a Sung Eucharist which includes music and a sermon. This service runs approximately one hour and is normally followed by tea and coffee for those who wish to chat afterwards.

A brief service of Morning Prayer is also said on Sundays at 7.20am.

Monday to Friday at 12 Noon, Midday Prayers are offered by members of the parish. The Eucharist is normally celebrated on Wednesdays and principal feast days. These services last approximately 15 minutes.

The service schedule is updated weekly on the homepage of our website.

All are welcome to join us for worship at Bethesda Church.

Hearing Impaired
Although we are wired throughout the church for sound, we also offer hand held units for the hearing impaired. Please ask an usher standing in the rear of the church if you would like to try out one of these devices.

Disabled Access
Thanks to donations given to our Building Fund, Bethesda is handicap accessible. There is a wheelchair lift located in the main side entrance to our church. Please have someone notify an usher if you need help operating the lift.

Air Conditioning
Bethesda Church is an air-conditioned building.

For further information about scheduling a baptism at Bethesda, please call our parish office (518) 584-5980.

Confirmation takes place during a regularly scheduled visit by the Bishop of the Albany Diocese.  If you are interested in being confirmed, please call the church office at (518) 584-5980.

Funeral Home Directors work directly with Bethesda to arrange funerals and burials. If you have a loved one you wish to have services for at Bethesda, you may have your funeral director make arrangements with us directly or you may wish to notify the parish office (518) 584-5980.
